Elephants in Temple festivals in Kerala


Elephants are the main attraction in Kerala Temple festivals called "Pooram". Beautifully caparisoned elephants carry the decorated idols of the Hindu gods with Mahouts standing guard holding colourful umbrellas and other accessories.
