Kerala is home to several home grown varieties. Mango, raw or ripe is a favourite for every Keralite. Mango pickle is another dish that is unavoidable to Malayalee. Mango is eaten raw with salt, red chili powder and coconut oil. Mango is used in Fish curry to give it a sour flavour and taste. Ripe Mango is dried to form Mango bars and is yummy sweet. Cool Mango Juice is highly recommended. Summer is the peak time for Mango mania in Kerala.
