Kerala Special Biriyani


Biriyani is the food everyone is Kerala likes for its unique Non-Vegetarian taste and mild flavours. Although Keralites are used to hot and spicy curries, Biriyani is loved by everyone for its smooth taste. Prepared with Basmati or long grain rice in ghee generally, Chicken, Mutton, Beef, Prawns etc. are added to it. Boiled Egg and Onion Masala with spices and nuts adds the taste to this dish. Accompanied by Raita or Onion salad in yoghurt or curd, Pappadam, Lime Pickle and a slice of Pineapple for digestion. Muslims all over the world has similar dishes in various names like Pulav, Pilaf, Kabsa, Arabian Mandi etc.
