Monsoon in Kerala

Monsoon is the most celebrated season of Kerala when rain overpowers everything living and present on land and sea. The change is evident everywhere. Rain falls day and night for days and within days of monsoon hitting the state, the water bodies appears from everywhere forming wild running streams and rivers. Paddy fields and low lying areas will be submerged in water. People use country boats and canoes to go about their daily life.
