Fire from the Yaga Altar setting ablaze the Yagasala

The Grand Finale of athirathram for the spectators is the setting on fire of the yagasala or venue by the priests. Everyone waits for the billowing smoke to engulf the whole area and within minutes, rain and thundershowers will greet the people to prove the undisputed presence of god in this sacred event.
