Mamankam and other Festivals of Kerala

Mamankam is a deep seated historical event of Kerala which takes place near the shores of Bharathapuzha river. Thousands of people throng the arena to witness the grand event. Poy Kithira or Toy Horse and Kala or bullocks are carried by masses to the centre stage with great festivity.
